February 11, 2015 | THIRTEENTH DAY – FOUNTAIN REPAIRSLeave your thoughts | Categorised in: Fountain Works
Yesterday was the thirteenth day of the repairs to the fountain. Here is what was done, followed by some photos:
Because of all the rain, the fountain pool collected a fair amount of rainwater, as the pumps and plumbing have been removed. City Parks Department began the slow process of draining the water using a garden hose. They did not want to have the rainwater collect in the fountain vault where the plumbing goes, since it has been disconnected. There is still about an inch of water remaining, and they will remove it tomorrow.
We will have to keep the fountain drained until the repairs are completed. Thank you for your patience, and for your help in making this happen. Please follow my daily progress reports.
